Getting Started With Therapy
Step 1: Schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. You can call 617-800-9262, email ndenese@denesepsychology.com, or complete an online form.
Step 2: Complete intake/consent forms and questionnaires.
Step 3: Dr. Denese will conduct a diagnostic intake evaluation. These interviews take 1.5 to 3 hours.
Step 4: Dr. Denese will conduct a feedback session to review results and recommendations.

Locations & Populations Served
MA Patients: For ages 2-22, Dr Denese provides in-person and online therapy at the Baker Center for Children and Families. For ages 23+, Dr. Denese offers in-person and online therapy through her private practice.
NY Patients: Dr. Denese provides online therapy for ages 2-45 through her private practice.

Tracking Therapy Progress
Dr. Denese provides evidence-based therapy with the goal of graduating patients when they have met therapy goals.
Patients complete weekly surveys that track progress during therapy.
On average, patients graduate within 6 months of weekly therapy.

Cancellation Policy
Dr. Denese has a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you miss or cancel a therapy session within 24 hours, the fee is the full cost of the missed session.
Please email ndenese@denesepsychology.com in a timely manner in order to avoid such fees.
Furthermore, please be aware that if you arrive late to your therapy session, Dr. Denese will end the session at the originally scheduled time.

Payment
Dr. Denese is an out of network therapist but offers a sliding scale based on income and number of dependents.
Full payment is due at the time of service. Credit card is the acceptable form of payment and payments are processed through a secure portal.

Billing
Dr. Denese will send you a monthly itemized bill (“superbill”) with a detailed list of services and commonly used billing codes (such as 90791, 90837). You can send this documentation to your insurance company for partial and/or full out of network reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan.
If you are unsure about your out of network coverage, Dr. Denese encourages you to ask your insurance company directly about therapy coverage.

How much will I get reimbursed per visit when I see an out of network mental health provider?

Limits to Confidentiality
Dr. Denese is a mandated reporter. Thus, during any interaction that you have with Dr. Denese (written or electronic communication, consultation call, intake, feedback, therapy session, phone call, etc.), she is obligated by law to break confidentiality and inform relevant authorities if information comes to light regarding harm to self, harm to others, child abuse or neglect, and elder or vulnerable adult abuse or neglect. This is done to keep everyone involved as safe as possible.
